Live in the moment. Don’t dwell on the past, don’t stress about the future. Because, think about it…
Nothing else matters in this second except for this second. You can do your best in order to work towards a good future, but you can’t do or live in any other time but the present.
Whatever happened in the past, has happened and it’s over with. Nothing can be done about it. You basically have two choices: have regrets and a million what ifs, or learn from the experiences and move on. A quote I’ve often seen is along the lines of, ‘it’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it’. You can be either optimistic or pessimistic, and out of those two options, there is really only one good choice.
It’s very easy to be dragged down the spiral of negativity. All it takes is one tiny thing, one small ounce of negativity, to have the spiral start. It’s quite a shame actually. It’s so much easier to automatically complain and get down, but it would make life easier if people would just put in a little more effort to be positive.
Everything happens for a reason, and every event, whether you loved it (or you cringe at the slightest thought of it) happens for a reason.
We are all on a journey, many of millions of different individual journeys, but at the end of the day it is about what you make of life and the opportunities you are handed.
While I often question the meaning and purpose of life, I often feel like it is about becoming the most authentic version of yourself, and using your individual talents and passions to help make the world a better, kinder, stronger place. I’ve never really known exactly what I want to do career wise, but I trust that if I keep on working hard, good karma shall come my way.
I may not know where I am going, but I know I am going somewhere.
